Porches

When I was young my father was in the US Air Force and we moved around. The longest we stayed in one place was five years in Washington D.C. We would often travel to my parents hometown of Ford City, in Pennsylvania. Over the years I came to love sitting on my Grandmother's front porch watching the cars drive by and talking with the people who would pass by on the sidewalk. Every time we would go and visit I would make it a point to spend some time out on the front porch.

I don't see people sitting on their porches that much anymore. More important things to do I guess.
